With advancements in machine learning techniques and signal processing algorithms, computer-aided cardiac dysfunction diagnosis  by Electronic Stethoscopes are among the latest technologies available for healthcare professionals. These newly designed computer-based stethoscopes can provide a new semiology of auscultation based on methods such as automatic interpretation and signal analysis. Thus, these new intelligent computer-based stethoscopes will be available for use in hospitals and clinics worldwide.Introduction of new Electronic Stethoscopes, for the diagnosis of cardiac disorders, is expected to increase the growth of the global Electronic Stethoscope Market

Following the invention of Electronic Stethoscopes, manufacturers are focusing on developing new Electronic Stethoscopes and aim at launching new products in to the market. For example, in August 2016, Eko launched the first Android–connected digital Stethoscopes. Similarly, in January 2016, Tech4life Enterprises launched eSteth, the first plug-n-play digital stethoscopes.  With increasing advancement in technology, Electronic Stethoscopes is likely to contribute growth in the market.

Rapid advancements in technology have led to the development of new stethoscopes in the market. For example, in April 2018, Steth IO launched a digital Stethoscopes. It is a smartphone-based digital stethoscope. For example, in April 2018, Steth IO launched a digital Stethoscopes. It is a smartphone-based digital stethoscope.

Rising disposable income is contributing to the growth of the economy, and, at the same time, individuals are able to afford appropriate health treatments The potential for high insurance coverage for healthcare services and increasing  disposable income are among factors expected to boost the adoption of the appropriate  treatments as well as increase the adoption of the latest technologies.

Electronic Stethoscope have gained high popularity in telemedicine and mobile health infrastructure since the sounds captured by them are transmitted through a telemedicine network that can then be analysed by using computer software. In addition, Electronic Stethoscopes play an important role in the auscultation of the chest, heart,  joints, fetal heart, etc. Due to their wide range of applications, Electronic Stethoscopes are expected to witness substantial growth.

The wireless transmission system market is valued at USD 80.5 Mn in 2018 and is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 9.1% over the forecast period to reach a USD  161.2 Mn by 2026.

The wireless transmission system segment holds 38.3% of the market share in 2018, and is expected to be 40.9% by 2026, for global Electronic Stethoscope market. The collective revenue of wireless transmission system segment is  estimated to be  1,109.1 over the forecast period for 2019-2026.

Stethoscope play a very important role in the diagnosis process, the chest piece and the connecting cable are known to facilitate transmission of pathogens from patient to patient and from patient to the user. Replacing the connecting cable with a wireless system may help reduce the potential risk and further allow broadcasting of the signals to multi-users for examination. This work reports on the design of a two-piece Bluetooth-based wireless system that eliminates the connecting cables in Electronic Stethoscopes. The design consists of a Bluetooth based integrated chest-piece module for captured acoustic sound transmission and a microcontroller-based (MSP430) head-piece receiver module for decoding the data for the three operational modes of the stethoscope. The design was first tested using a chirp signal source with frequency of 10 Hz – 5 kHz. Advancements in Bluetooth technology has made it possible for stethoscopes to go wireless so clinicians can auscultate patients without listening through traditional stethoscope earpieces.

Eko stethoscopes use Bluetooth to pair with smartphones and tablets through the Eko App (available on iOS and Android). Through the Eko App, clinicians can listen to, visualize, and share auscultations of the same quality as if they were listening directly through stethoscope earpieces. In the current scenario, telemedicine is one of the major application, in which wireless transmission system is used. Clinicians can quickly connect with specialists to assess patients with COVID-19 symptoms, maintain isolation protocols, and save costs by minimizing transportation. Wireless stethoscopes can be used by a patient in their home to receive a cardiopulmonary exam from a specialist. This helps reduce the unnecessary risk of exposure by staying away from crowded medical offices and public infrastructure.
